GLORIA ADUTH

Gloria has been singing since birth. She comes from a long line of singers and was taught 4-part harmony at the age of 7. Gloria has been in multiple choirs and was classically trained throughout her schooling. She also studied under Frances Brockington, soprano, while at Wayne State University. She currently sings with Motor City Irish Dance company as well as Sing Out Detroit.

After a hiatus from performing for a few years after college, she joined multiple community theatre programs and was cast in shows including Hairspray, Annie, Legally Blonde, Oliver and was honored to have been cast as the Fairy Godmother in Cinderella. It was during a rehearsal for Legally Blonde that Gloria got curious about Irish Dance. That led her to find Motor City Irish Dance and help to develop it into the full performance company it is today. She helped to incorporate musical performances into a very high-energy dance repertoire, creating a more full and well-rounded production.

Since helping to develop the music arm of Motor City Irish Dance, Gloria has taken over as director of music and vocal for the company and is delighted to welcome any musicians into the performance troupe. We have many talented musicians that play a variety of instruments including violin/fiddle, bodrhan, guitar, mandolin, piano, uilleann pipes, flute, accordion and of course a handful of talented singers.

Gloria specializes in training company singers in the Irish style as well as pronunciation of Irish Gaelic lyrics. Musician rehearsals run on an as needed basis.

Private lessons are by appointment only. Please contact Gloria for available times.
